WALLINGFORD: George Levesh, 81, beloved husband of the late Rose M. (Peterson) Levesh, of Wooding Road, Yalesville section of Wallingford, died Saturday, December 31, 2005, peacefully at his home.
Born in Branford, February 6, 1924, a son of the late Harry and Frances (Dubeck) Levesh, George had been a Yalesville resident for 52 years. He had been employed by the International silver Company for over 40 years until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II, was a member the Stanley Budleski, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9965 in Yalesville and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Yalesville.
He is survived by his son, George L. Levesh of Meriden; his three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Joe Brandl of Henniker, NH, Cindy and Kevin McCarron of Wallingford and Sharon and Darrell Grant of Middlefield; the loving grandfather of Christopher Levesh, Joseph D'Agostino, Nicholas D'Agostino and his partner Jeffrey Adams, Tarryn Brandl, Brett Brandl and Kaylea Brandl; great grandfather of Madison Levesh; brother of Virginia Thompson and Fred Levesh, both of Branford, and he also leaves his three four legged companions, Toby, Lucky and Artic. He was predeceased by a sister, Olga Rutovich and a brother, William Levesh.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main Street, Yalesville section of Wallingford, Tuesday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 9 a.m. from The Yalesville Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Fatima Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors, will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, gifts in George's memory may be sent to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT or to the American Diabetes Association, 306 Industrial Park Rd., Suite 150, Middletown, CT 06457.
