Marty Alexander passed away on Tuesday September 6, 2005 at the age of 58. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Marty spent the majority of his life here.
Marty's career included hotel and restaurant management, and he also owned and operated his own fine dining restaurant and bar.
Marty is survived by his daughter Marci Casteel, his son Corey Oles, son-in-law Gary Casteel, his grandson Wolfgang Oles, brothers Richard and Frank, sisters Sandi Covell and Maureen Krone, and many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Bruns House c/o Hospice of Contra Costa Foundation, 3470 Buskirk Ave., Pleasant Hill, CA 94523, in memory of Martin Alexander.
Seven months from diagnosis, it was a short but heroic fight. You truly are an inspiration, you never gave up, not even at the end. Your time was far to short, but know, you will always be loved and will never be forgotten.
