Joshua A. Martin, 33, of Gulfport, MS was born on November 2, 1974 to Andy and JoAnn Martin in Selma, Alabama.

His father and both paternal grandparents preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, JoAnn, stepfather and best friend Dwight Harper; step-mother, Velma Martin of Cottageville, SC; his son, Sheldon (Martin) Davenport; maternal grandparents; two step-brothers of Cottageville, SC; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Special thanks to the staff and clients at the Venture House Day Treatment. They were a big part of Josh’s life and were always encouraging and supportive.

Thanks to Marion Poirrier, cafeteria manager, and her staff at the Crisis Stabilization Unit where Josh worked.

Thanks also to the pastor, Dr. R.G. Molsbee and his wife and the entire church family at First United Pentecostal Church.
