William J Luckie

October 24, 1941 - June 30, 2009

William J. Luckie of Middle Ridge Rd, New Canaan, CT, died suddenly on June 30th at the age of 67. Bill was born in Deadwood, SD to William L. and Kathryn Luckie. After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1964, he married his college sweetheart Alexandra Akel and went on to serve 2 tours in Vietnam, receiving numerous citations, including 3 bronze stars. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1969 as a Captain and went on to a 30 year career with IBM where he retired as a Senior Business Practices Consultant. He was founder and President of B&D Developers, LLC. The company was established in 1982 as builders of custom residential homes in Fairfield County.

Bill is survived by his wife Alexandra, daughters Alexandra Nasuti and Allicyn McNeilly, and was Pop to six grandchildren Geoffrey, Michael, Danielle, Matthew, Kaitlyn, and Maddison,

A mass of Christian rite was held at St Aloysius Church in New Canaan on July 6, 2009. Interment followed at St. Johnís Cemetery in Norwalk, CT. Memorial donations may be made in his name to St Aloysius School or the New Canaan Library.
