James Kellet Holcombe
June 26, 1981 - August 30, 2008
James Kellet Holcombe of Business Hwy. 27, Buchanan, passed away suddenly, Saturday, August 30, 2008 from injuries sustained in a automobile accident. He
was born in Floyd County, June 26, 1981, son of Jackie Kellet Holcombe and Sherry Pruitt Laminack. Mr. Holcombe assisted his grandfather on his cattle farm and was a member of the Mt. Paran Baptist Church in Muscadine, Alabama.
Survivors include his parents, Jackie Holcombe of Buchanan and Sherry Pruitt Laminack of Mucadine, AL; sister, Cassie Laminack, Muscadine, AL; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Laminack, Fruithurst, AL; maternal grandfather, Dwain Pruitt, Cedartown; and paternal grandmother, Vivian Holcombe of Buchanan.
Services will be Monday, September 1 at 3:00 P.M. from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Gentry, Gary Singleton, Mandy Wells and Misty Gose
officiating. Music will be furnished by Gary Singleton. Jonathan Mize, Shannon Williams, David Edwards, Josh Holdbrooks, Justin Holdbrooks Matt Holcombe, Brian Wells and Adam Gose will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Laminack, Chase Laminack, Chris Holcombe, J.J. Holcombe, Rick Holcombe and Jacob Holdbrooks. Interment will follow in Buchanan City Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Pike officiating.
