Master Fordham Lee Poffenbarger, 4, Middletown went to be with the Lord on Sunday March 21, 2010 at University of Maryland Children's Hospital in Baltimore.
Born in Frederick, June 2, 2005 he was a son of William Hunt Jr. and Amy Lois Fordham Poffenbarger, Middletown. Fordie attended Christ Reformed UCC, Middletown and was in pre-school at Mom's Day Out at Grace Community Church, Frederick. He also loved riding his four wheeler.
Surviving, besides his parents, are:
brothers and sister - Reese P. Poffenbarger, Saylor L. Poffenbarger, and Brittin W. Poffenbarger - all at home
paternal great-grandmother - Helen Poffenbarger - Woodsboro
maternal grandparents - Wyndell and Barbara Fordham - Lecanto, FLpaternal grandparents - William H. Sr. and Lois Poffenbarger -Thurmont aunts and uncles - Dan Fordham - Aspen, CO; John and Mary Fordham - Lincoln, NE; Susan Backshall - Inverness, FL; Christopher Fordham - Inverness, FL; Neel and Judy Poffenbarger - Myersville; Matthew Poffenbarger - Lewistown
He is also survived by many cousins and great-aunts and great- uncles.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 24 at the chapel in Christ Reformed UCC, 12 S. Church St., Middletown from 6 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be held 2 PM on Thursday March 25 from Zion Lutheran Church, 107 W. Main St., Middletown. Rev. Mark A. Wakefield will officiate. Interment will be made in Christ Reformed Church cemetery, Middletown. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, POB 333, Middletown, MD 21769 to help with the restoration due to their recent fire. Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown is handling arrangements.
