You were always there for me, cheering me on. Your love for Kanen was so special, you should see Kanen and Heira playing now, its so wonderful and I know you are looking down from Heaven smiling knowing they will be the best of friends! I love you aunt Kelly, thanks for everything you did for me.. I miss you dearly! Love Jake, Whit and Kanen

Dear Palumbo and Kaiser families,
I attended the service and listening to the service, I kept smiling as stories were read, as Ms. Golden and Mr. Heath sang, as Mrs. Pinkham sang, as that young lady sang. As I watched the wonderful slideshow that Talia created, tears started flowing, remembering this wonderful person, a wonderful teacher. If I could do her class all over again, I would. I always wanted to do her class twice...she was that great of a teacher. I am proud that she donated her eyes and someone is now seeing out of those beautiful blues. May she rest in peace and I thank the lord for bringing her into my life. Rest in Peace Mrs. Palumbo. I will miss you.
Oh Kelly I miss you already. You've done so much for all of us and your selflessness will survive you for the years to come. You made a great second mother to me and my memories of you are only of positive, happy times.
Hopefully one day I will be able to emulate your compassion and kindness. Until that day, and until we meet again, may you rest in Peace Aunt Kelly.
We'll miss you so much Kelly. It will not be the same visiting your mother in Kettle. You were always popping in, always thought about other people, God bless. Love you.
You will be forever in my heart. I will remember you at the river, it will never be the same.
Love you, we'll miss you, Aunt Joyce.

Kelly always made you feel welcome, you always felt like she was glad to see you.

My cousin Kelly was always the highlight of my trip when going to Kettle to see family and camping. she was so beautiful. Sadly to say going to Kettle will never be the same.

She will be greatly missed! She spoke frequently of her family and becoming a new grandmother. My thoughts and prayers to all her family and friends!
I was saddened to hear about Kelly. She was one of my students at Kettle Falls High School. What a lovely person! She was so positive and upbeat. I especially remember her as a beautiful girl who was so kind to everyone. When I learned that Kelly planned to teach, I was thrilled. I knew she would be a natural. I know she has touched so many people's lives. What a joy it was to have known her!
Kelly was one of the most happy, positive, energetic people I have ever known. I have heard since the day she started teaching what a WONDERFUL, INSPIRING teacher she was and I was sorry that none of my kids were lucky enough to have her for a teacher. It's so hard for me to believe that she has passed away........She was definitely taken way too soon. I have known the Kaiser family since we moved to Kettle Falls in 1971. Eileen, Howard, Shannon, Wes, Karl, Steve, Talia and David - I am SO sorry for your loss!!
You laughter and sweet spirit will be missed. Your strength and grace will serve as an example for me. For all the children whose lives you touched...including those you didn't know..YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE.

Our condolences to the Palumbo & Kaiser families. Kelly was my daughter's favorite teacher. I was fortunate to volunteer in her class when my daughter was in 2nd grade. All her students loved her. She made each student a binder of their school work for the year. I still treasure those momentos. What a blessing she was as a teacher! God's peace and grace go with you Kelly.
So sorry to hear of Kelly's passing. I really enjoyed working with her.

Mrs. Palumbo was my second grade teacher over 25 years ago. No teacher ever inspired me like she did. I have often thought of her over the years and hoped she knew how many lives she touched with her beautiful smile, unwavering patience, and ability to make each one of her students feel special. She was one of the most amazing individuals I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I offer my most sincere condolences to her family.

We are so sorry and will miss that sweet little girl. She was such a positive outgoing person. I know my children will always remember Kelly from teaching them how to swim. I'm just sure both the Keenan boys had a crush on this beautiful lady. We will be thinking of you and praying for your inner peace and strength.
Kelly was such a dear friend. She was the kindest, most patient teacher and her students adored her. Kelly was able to make each student feel loved and welcome. She loved reading heart-warming stories to her classes and never missed a chance to focus on the beauty of nature. I was truly blessed to have known her.

Kelly was my second grade teacher. I remember her as being always cheerful, always laughing. Her class was one of the most fun I had in grade school. She will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
I didn't know Kelly very much, only met her a dozen times or so, but her smile lit up the room, her positive attitude & genuinely sweet spirit was evident the very first time I met her. She & Ralph chatted like old friends at Kanen's 2nd birthday party & it was special time.
She rests with the Father now, for that we can all be grateful & that our Father has Adopted us, and Appreciates us and Loves us to the extent we can't comprehend. My prayers will continue to be about and for you - her family - as you learn to live without her.
Love - Merry & Ralph
I'll miss dear sweet Kelly. She was always so caring and loving.

I am sorry to hear of your passing. You were a great second grade teacher. I really liked you alot. Cancer stinks! Rest in peace..until we meet again.
I have wondered many times in the past 13 years why God brought me to Colville, WA. I know now that He wanted me to meet Kelly Plaumbo. She was a precious friend, a master 2nd grade teacher, the sweetest person I have ever meet and the most passionate wife, mother and grandmother a person could ask for in life. I will miss her deeply, but her lessons on patience and how to love will forever be in my heart.
May the Lord be with all of you during this sad time. WE will miss Kelly very much. She was a wonderful person.
Kelly has gone HOME to help the second graders and add the gift of her spirit and light. She will be missed, but never forgotten.
I taught 2nd grade with Kelly at Astor School. I was always impressed by her friendliness, vibrancy of life, and passion for teaching. I enjoyed the days we spent together. What a kind soul. God Bless You, Kelly! 😄

I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Palumbo as my teacher on what I believe it was her first year of teaching in Colville. She was one of the most influential teachers that I had in my growing-up years, and I know she will be missed by all who knew her.

Kelly was a great inspiration to me growing up! She taught me to swim, helped me attain my lifeguard certificate at the young age of 16, and was a great role model for me back then. Oh Kelly dearest cousin you will be so dearly missed. I wish I knew you better just for the fact that you were your grandma through and through. And I loved my great Aunt Beth! Big hugs and tears for the whole family. I love you all!!
You will be GREATLY missed Kelly. Your big heart will live on for an eternity. You always had the biggest smile on your face, your heart was so kinda and gentle to others and that's not something that you find in a lot of people. I know that you will be continuing to watch over your family everyday. I have such a funny memory from when Talia and I were on the same softball team and were such friends, Talia and you were arguing about her going to the bathroom before she went out on the field and she kept rolling her eyes saying I don't have to go mom! :) So many people are going to miss you deeply and love you with all our hearts!
Kelly will always be remembered as such a beautiful lady inside and out, who gave so much of herself, and put others first. I was blessed with the priveledge of being her student in 1985-86, and have the opportunity to keep in touch with her as my own children have gone through hofstetter. Kelly's light will continue to shine on through everyone she has touched, and we will see her again one day soon. Rest now Kelly, in the comfort of God's loving arms.
Prayers and thoughts to your family. A truly beautiful person Kelly was and she blessed so many.
The only time I wanted a teacher so bad and didn't get her was second grade ...Mrs. Palumbo. I was so disappointed because everyone who had her loved her and there was definitely a reason for that! Her beautiful smile, kindness, joy, love for children and passion for teaching made her unforgettable...even when you only got to see that from a distance. The amazing thing is that she passed that light onto so many people including her kids! Kelly, you are loved and will always live safely in the heart of every child you impacted and everyone who loves you!!
Larry and Lacie Abell
Rest in peace, Kelly; "May flights of angels wing thee to thy rest."
We pray for the family at this time of loss, grieving, and the celebration of a life well lived, knowing that in heaven, you will all be reunited.
My heart is heavy knowing that Kelly is no longer with us to share her sweet spirit. It feels selfish because she made all of us happier people. She touched so many lives. My life, my twin brother's life, my dad's life, my children's life. We will miss her physical presence deeply but we will all remember the life she lived and the joy she brought into our life. We will continue our lives with that joy and gratitude each new day. Love you, Kelly. Hugs to the Palumbo family.
Kelly and I taught 2nd grade together in the beginning of our careers. I remember her smiles, her passion for teaching, her loving nature, and all the class pets!!! She will be deeply missed.
There are not enough words in the English language that accurately describe the impact Kelly left on many of us. It was both an honor and a blessing to have known her and to have worked with her at Hofstetter. Grieve not for her passing, but be comforted in the fact she is no longer suffering, and we will see her every time we see the sun shine, a rainbow over the sky, a bird singing, and in the laughter of children everywhere. Rest in Peace, Kelly, for we shall meet again.
Nicole Ruland (Reedy)
Kelly was my 2nd grade teacher and a wonderful woman. I went to school and graduated with her daughter. I am very sorry for your loss. She was amazing.
Beautiful lady inside and out.....Someone with class and elegance. Kelly will truly be missed by all that knew her. Her smile lit up a room and I always felt a true sense of caring and warmth any time spoke with her.
I was blessed to cross paths with Kelly, her daughter and granddaughter during a 3 week stay at our clinic. They became family in all of our hearts at RIMC. What a loss. I promise, I will always remember Kelly and will look for her when I pass. She always managed to smile and keep all of us smiling. She left a huge mark. I wish her family well and know the heartache you must be feeling. Know that you will see her again and that she is with you always. Bless you all for the long fight you fought. May she live on by inspiring us still.
Kelly was an amazing woman who touched countless lives with her bright smile and her kindness. I was lucky to learn so much from her as she mentored and molded me into the teacher that I am today. I am thankful for the recent phone conversation that I had with her. She was always such a positive person. Kelly will be missed greatly by many. My heart goes out to her family~
