Howard L. Cole
January 16, 1932 - April 30, 2010


Age 78, Norman - Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with John Cullison officiating.
Mr. Cole died April 30, 2010 in Norman, Oklahoma.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
He was born January 16, 1932 at Fort Sill to Howard Lowell Cole, Sr. and Lora Belle Teagle Cole. He grew up in Lawton and attended Lawton High School. He had served in the Army with the 45th Infantry Division during the Korean War. He married Lydia Marie Gonzales on December 20, 1953 in Lawton. She preceded him in death on October 7, 2009.
He owned and operated Cole’s Cleaners in Lawton for over 50 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason as well as a Shriner and a Camel Herder.
He is survived by a daughter and son in law, Cindy and Mike Gray, Norman, Oklahoma; a son, Terry Cole, Ft. Worth, Texas; two grandchildren, Kara Gray and Aaron Gray; two sisters, Betty Selvey and her husband Paul, Lawton, and Nancy Cole, Dallas, Texas; a nephew, Bobby Cole, Lawton; two nieces, Cheryl Dorsey, Bell Canyon, California, and Suzanne Means, Laramie, Wyoming; numerous other relatives.
His parents, wife, a brother, Eddie Cole, and two nephews, Brent and Charley, preceded him in death.
