Biography

 


          Sandra J. Muggleworth, 60, of Connersville, died Sunday morning, January 11, 2009, in the emergency room at Fayette Regional Health System following an illness of several months.


 


          She was born to Raymond and Lois Toll Jobe, June 22, 1948 in Central City, Kentucky.  Sandra graduated from Atherton High School in the Highlands community of Louisville, Kentucky.  She attended Morehead State in Kentucky, Ball State and later, Villanova University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania receiving a bachelor degree and master degree in education.  For over thirty years, she taught elementary school at Everton and Frazee.  Her memberships include St. Gabriel Church and the Bereavement Committee, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Indiana State Teachers Association and she had been active in the American Federation of Teachers Union.  She enjoyed her grandchildren, family and golfing with the Nine Hole Ladies' League at the country club.



          Sandra is survived by her husband, Richard H. Muggleworth, whom she married December 23, 1978 in Louisville, Kentucky; a daughter and son-in-law: Kate R. M. Clark and Duane E. of Brownsburg; twin grandchildren: Mason E. and Molly R. Clark; a sister: Suzanne Hornbeck of Lawrenceville, NJ; a nephew: Brandon Hornbeck of Brooklyn, NY; two nieces: Stephanie Hornbeck of Arlington, Virginia, Jill Ambroz of Rochester, NY.



          Her parents and a brother-in-law, William "Bill" Hornbeck, preceded her in death.



          The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Gabriel Church with Rev. Stanley Herber officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery.  Friends may visit at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, from 6 to 8 p.m Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Diabetes Association (http://www.diabetes.org/).  For additional information and to send condolences or memories, visit http://www.ShowalterBlackwellLong.com/.
