Ruth Marie Harkness Greenleaf was born September 4, 1924 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Howard and JessieHarkness. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Forest and her sister Thelma Link, a daughter Nancy, grandson Marc and her husband Marcus.

Ruth passed from this life into her heavenly home on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Memorial Herman Southeast in Houston, Texas.

Ruth leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law Marcus “Skip” and Linda Greenleaf of The Villages, Florida, her 2 daughters and son-in-law Susan and Bobby Dennard of Bayou Vista, Texas and Marcia Greenleaf of Houston, Texas, her grandchildren, Leah Greenleaf of Belleview, Florida, Ryan and Melissa Dennard, andKelby and Bethany Dennard of Houston, Texas and 5 great grandchildren Avery Marie, Courtlyn Ruth, Holston, Jeneya, and Ramsey, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 Clinton Street, Terre Haute, on Thursday June 10, 2010 from 5p.m.- 7p.m. with a service immediately following at 7pm with her daughter, Pastor Susan Dennard officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
