Life Legacy


Nordmark Mr. William G. Nordmark,“Bill”, of Riverdale, GA, passed away on December 29, 2011 at the age of 82. Mr. Nordmark was a kind, loving and handsome man who always made people he came in contact with feel special. Bill was a dedicated employee of Delta Air Lines, who rose through the ranks and retired as the System Manager of Stations with 45 years of service. He loved to sing and was a founding member and president of the Southland Chorus. Bill was a member of the “Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America”. He enjoyed barbershop singing and would frequently visit nursing homes and those who were shut in to entertain them with song. He was a founding member of the Canongate Golf Club in Palmetto and attended the Southwest Christian Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Geneva Jeanne Nordmark; parents William G. and Delsie Gilliam Nordmark; and sister, Mary Elinor Nordmark.
He is survived by his son William G. Nordmark III and his wife Vickie of Roswell; grandchildren William G. Nordmark IV and his wife Liza of Atlanta, Joseph Michael Nordmark and his wife Andrea of Atlanta, Amy Lynn Richards and her husband Casey of Ellijay; great-grandchildren Callie Grace Richards and Joseph Michael Nordmark, Jr.; and spouse Paula Haak.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 1:00PM at Carl J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Reverend Danny Haynes will officiate.
