Rita L. Halm

Rita L. Halm, 75 of Everett Road Fremont, died Wednesday morning at Countryside Continuing Care Center.  She was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts on October 25, 1932 to Thomas and Hilda (Swanson) Lester.  Rita married Phillip Halm on November 8, 1952 at St. Jerome's Church in Weymouth, Massachusetts.  She was a homemaker who loved cats, enjoyed arts and crafts and playing the organ.  Rita was an accomplished artist.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Marian Society, the Rosary Society, The Sandusky County Humane Society, The Humane Society of the United States and Defenders of the Wildlife.  Rita is survived by her husband Phillip of Fremont, sons Anthony Halm of Fremont and Kenneth Halm of Tiffin, grandchildren, Norman Halm of San Francisco, CA, Dawn Halm and Bryan Halm, both of Fremont, great-grandchildren, Savanna, Alexis and Elijah Halm, and a brother Kenneth (Nola) Aldrich of Wilmont, NH. Rita is preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Edgar Aldrich, brother Thomas Lester, sister Theresa Moore, and step-brother Edward Aldrich. 


 


Visitation: will take place Sunday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM., with a Vigil Service at 7:30 P.M. at Keller- Ochs-Koch Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont, OH.



 



Funeral Services: will be Monday 11:00 A.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home with Fr. David Bruning Officiating.



 



Burial: will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, OH
