Florence I. Hetrick, 89 of Fremont, died Thursday November 22 at Memorial Hospital in Fremont.  She was born on November 14, 1918 in Fremont to the late Oscar and Lillian (Guettler) Otermat.    She was a 1936 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and later attended Heidelberg College in Tiffin.  She married John H. Waggoner, Sr., whom she lost in 1987, on December 15, 1945 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont.  She later married Lt. Col. Delbert R. Hetrick on January 14, 1989 at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio.  She formerly owned Waggoner Dairy Store, with her first husband, John H.Waggoner.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Fremont, where she served on church council, was a member of the executive board, and also a former member of both the choir and bell choirs.  She was also an avid golfer and member of both the Fremont Country Club and Green Hills Golf Club.  Additionally, she was one of the original members appointed by Mayor Maier of Fremont Shade Tree and the Beautification Committee, serving as secretary.  She was involved in the Friends of Birchard Library as well as a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxillary for 30 years.    She is survived by her sons, Jay (Elizabeth) Waggoner of Lima, John H.Waggoner, Jr. of Fremont, daughters, Joy (Keith) Maddy of Owensboro, KY, Jane (Jeffrey) Baumgart of Eugene, OR, Jill Behpour of Concord, California, sister, Beatrice (Carroll) Root of Fremont, step-sons, Gary (Jenny) Hetrick of Kalamazoo, MI and six grandchildren, three step grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, John H. Waggoner, Sr., second husband, Delbert R. Hetrick, sister, Jacqueline Barb, step-son Del E. Hetrick.



 



Visitation: Mon 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home, 416 South Arch Street.



Funeral Services: Tuesday 10:00AM at Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home with Rev Paul Gruetter officiating.



Burial: Private



 



Memorials: Grace Lutheran Church or the Birchard Library.
