Life Legacy
Linda Etzel, 91, of Tiffin, died Friday, January 21, 2011 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. She was born March 27, 1919 in Fremont, OH, the daughter of Urban Albert and Gertrude Margaret (Wasserman) Fisher. On April 1, 1943 she married Robert Aloys Etzel, he preceded her in death on March 13, 1991. Mrs. Etzel was owner and operator of the Bloomville Hotel and Restaurant for over 30 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fremont, Rosary Altar Society, Auxiliary of St. Francis, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Tiffin Daughters of Isabella, Tiffin Sunday Night Bridge Club, Wauchula Florida Bridge Club and Allen Eiry Leisure Club of Tiffin. Linda loved to be around friends and family and was often on bus trips or going to shows with them. She loved the company of her grandchildren and friends. Mrs. Etzel enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida where she wintered for 30 years, golf, reading, watching old movies, soap operas, bridge, pinochle and staying up late.
She is survived by her children: Diana ( John) Lindsay of Turnersville, NJ; David (Beatrice) Etzel of Seven Hills, OH; Kathy (Mark) Palmerchuck of Sicklerville, NJ; grandchildren: Ryan and Sean Lindsay, Justin and Amy Etzel, Sara and Lauren Palmerchuck; great-granddaughter, Abigail Etzel; brothers: Paul, Roman, Leon, and Norman Fisher, sister, Joan Foos. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 9:00- 10:45A.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH. Mass of Resurrection will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fremont with Fr. Ken Lill officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial.
