BiographyDelores B. Almendinger, 78, of Fremont died Monday at Countryside Continuing Care Center in Fremont. She was born February 12, 1931 in Norwalk, OH to the late Gilbert and Mary (Shoemaker) Howe. She was a 1949 graduate of Greenwich High School and married John Almendinger on August 7, 1953 in Greenwich, OH. She was a bookkeeper for 18 years for Chem-Trol, Inc. She was a member of Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church and the Fremont Eastern Star. She enjoyed camping, playing bridge, cooking and entertaining friends at the house. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by John Almendinger; son, J. Todd (Kathy) Almendinger of Port Clinton, and her five grandchildren, Aaron, Megan, Ashley, Katie, and Alyssa. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kim Almendinger. A memorial service will take place Saturday at 11AM with a one hour prior visitation at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S Arch St, Fremont with Rev Denise Turpin officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Memorial Hospital c/o the funeral home. Online condolences at www.kokm.net.
