Alice Mae Jackson

Life Legacy

Mrs. Alice (Alee) Jackson was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Henry Young and Mrs. Jezebel Young on April 13, 1923 in Abbeville, Georgia. She ended her journey on earth July 29, 2010 at Dorminy Medical Center. Alice had four brothers and three sisters to precede her in death.

Her Christianity was served faithfully at New Mt. Zion of Wilcox County until her health failed.

Alice was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Robert Charles (R C) Jackson for 60 wonderful years. Two siblings were born in this union, even though she was like a mother to many more.

Her sweet, precious memories are being cherished by her children: Mrs. Rosetta (Roy) King of Fitzgerald, Ga., Mrs. Annie R. Curry of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Alice Morgan of Fitzgerald, Ga., Ms. Ethel Mae Jackson of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Betty Penn of East Orange, N.J., Mr. Otis Jackson of Fitzgerald, Ga., Robert Jackson and Felix Jackson of East Orange, N.J., Wilbert (Michelle) Jackson and Milton (Serena) Jackson of Abbeville, Ga., Charles Jackson of Alexandria, Va., Henry Allen Young and Forrest (Lashima) Patterson of Abbeville, Ga.; 38 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, 33 great-great grandchildren from whom she earned the name "Big Ma". She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. She was an example of a "Virtuous Woman."
