Stanley M. "Ozzie" LaCoille, Jr. 43, of Martin Street, Keene, NH, died Wednesday morning, June 27, 2007, at the Cheshire Medical Center / Dartmouth Hitchcock, Keene, following a year-long courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Putnam, Conn., December 10, 1963,the son of Doris (Thayer) and Stanley M. LaCoille, Sr. He grew up in Marlborough, NH.
Mr. LaCoille moved to Keene in 1980 where he worked for over 20 years as an electrician for area electrical contractors. He was a member of the Gordon Bissell American Legion Squadron 4 of Keene and a member of St. Bernard Church of Keene. He was a self-taught "jack of all trades" and enjoyed woodworking, just recently finishing building a gazebo at his home. He was known by many as a hard worker. He especially enjoyed Christmas, decorating the house and building Christmas decorations including a holiday sleigh. His favorite passion in life was his family, especially his children.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Debra J. (Robbins) LaCoille, a son, Matthew J. LaCoille, a daughter, Mary L. LaCoille, all of Keene, his father of Cocoa, FL, his mother, Doris Reed of Troy, NH, 2 brothers; Reginald P. LaCoille and his wife Ruth of Keene, James M. LaCoille and his wife Caroline of Pittsford, VT, and a sister, Barbara A. Royce of Charlotte, NC. His is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara L. and Ralph E. Robbins of Keene, brothers-in-law; Gary Robbins and his wife Janice of Keene, Kevin Robbins and his wife Debra of Munsonville, NH, Bruce Robbins of Marlborough, NH, Ron Robbins of Keene, a sister-in-law, Brenda Rennick and her husband Steve of Keene, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday morning, June 30, 2007 at 10:00 AM in St. Bernard Church, 185 Main Street, Keene, NH. Friends are welcome. Burial will be private. Friends are invited to call on Friday evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene.
