James Duane Staymates, 57, of Upperco, Maryland died Friday, January 4, 2008, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Born May 27, 1950 in Wilkensburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Arthur Kistler Staymates and Maria Hopf Staymates of Hagerstown, Maryland. He was the husband of Saundra Stamboni Staymates.
He was a 1968 graduate of North High School in Hagerstown and a 1972 graduate of Towson University.
He was a self-employed financial planner.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glyndon, Maryland and of Piney Branch Golf Club.
Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are a daughter, Maria Danielle Staymates of Upperco, Maryland; a son, James Bret Staymates of Upperco, Maryland; a brother, Arthur Paul Staymates of Baltimore, Maryland; and sisters Linda Lee Carpenter of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and Michele Staymates of Gaithersburg, Maryland.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2008, at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane in Glyndon, Maryland with the Rev. Silvester T. Kim officiating. Interment will be in Hampstead Cemetery in Hampstead, Maryland.
Friends may call Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, Maryland.
