Ruby Rae Gilmore Wallace, 93, Fulton, passed quietly on Wed., Jan. 28, 2009 at the Presbyterian Manor.
She was born Sept. 18, 1915 in Millersburg, MO, to the late Thomas Easter and Hattie Maude (Bullard) Gilmore. She married Elgie Paul Wallace on March 13, 1936. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include three daughters and their husbands; Mary Sue (Floyd Ray) Harrison, Betty Lou (William David) McAtee, both of Fulton and Kathryn Ann (Clinton Gerald) Grigory of Braggadocio, MO. Eight grandchildren and spouses; Floyd Ray (Michelle) Harrison, Jr., Jerri Ann (Clifford Edwin) Baise, Terri Lee (Christopher Lynn) Daro of Fulton, Rita Fay (Chris) Cornett of Scottsboro, Alabama, John David (Barbara Suzanne) McAtee of Kirkwood, MO, Brian Paul (Heather Louise) McAtee of Burlington, Iowa, Lesli Leann (Brent Edward) Hampton of Portageville, MO, and Jessica Janell Grigory of Braggadocio, MO.
Also surviving are fourteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Wallace attended Fulton schools and during World War two, she and her husband worked in defense plants in California and Indiana. She also worked for Brown Shoe, International Shoe and Stride Rite. She was a member of White Cloud Presbyterian Church and a past member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Sat, Jan. 31, at the Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Brother Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in White Cloud Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
