Edward A. Wesolowski, Jr.

Sunday, March 15, 2009 Edward A. Wesolowski, Jr. died at home. Ed is survived by his wife, Lucy and children Zara, Emily, and stepdaughter, Laura. Also surviving are Ed, Sr., siblings Michael, Bob, Linda, Mary, Dan, Dave, Wally, and Chris, as well as 22 nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Gladys.


Ed received his BA in Communications from the University of Delaware and a MA in Communications from Temple University. For many years Ed worked at DuPont Co., and in 1995 he founded Information Display Systems, Inc.


Ed possessed a far-ranging curiosity and passion for channels and styles of communication. He made documentaries for public television and wrote news and trade journal articles. He analyzed movies and was a voracious reader with a trained, critical eye. He loved to play and listen to jazz as well as other music. Deeply committed to progressive politics and social action, Ed worked throughout his life to expand fair democracy.


His kindness and generosity were felt by all and will not be forgotten.


Services will be held at Judea Reform Synagogue on Cornwallis Road, Durham on Wednesday, March 18 at 4:00 pm.
