Life Legacy


William “Bill” Gould, 66, of Willard, MO passed away on August 5, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was raised in Iberia, MO but lived the majority of his life in Willard.

Bill was a teacher and coach in the Willard school system for 30 years. His love of teaching and sports allowed him to impact thousands of lives in the community. Bill was a collegiate athlete at Drury College, participating in basketball, baseball, and golf. He was an avid golfer and a charter member of the Greene Hills Country Club, in addition to serving on their board. Bill also served many years on the Willard Park Board. He was a friend to all; always armed with a quick wit and a helping hand. Memories of Bill will be treasured and stories be told. He will be truly missed.

Bill was the son of Dr. William A. and Hilda Gould. He is survived by the women in his life: mother, Hilda Gould; wife, Connie Gould; daughters, Kim Debayo-Doherty and Melissa Gould and sister, Terry Griffin. He is also survived by brother-in-laws, Ronnie Griffin, Garry Clark, and John Clark; son-in-laws: Aki Debayo-Doherty and Glenn Geise; and grandchildren, Alex and Nicole Debayo-Doherty.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Evergreen Church, 3225 North Farm Road 123, Willard, MO. The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 11th at 10:00 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
